Composite Solid Core Fire Doors - FD30S

The composite Solid Core fire door range has been fire tested on both the internal and external sides for up to 30 minutes (FD30s) with fully independent third party certification assessed by CERTIFIRE (CF5705). All fd30s fire doors have been tested to BS476 Part 22 and subject to the Q-Mark enhanced security scheme. In addition to this the door has also been tested by BMTrada to BS EN 1634-3 smoke control test. Each fire door in the range is manufactured to a high level of security and complies with PAS023/PAS024 security accreditation as well as Secure by Design (SBD) requirements. 

Due to recent changes (Nov 1 2019) in European Law relating to the supply of Fire Doors, the SolidCore certified FD30s should only to be used as an internal door set with resistance to fire and smoke and should not be specified or installed as an external door set.

For reference, the definition of an external door set as defined in BS EN 14351-1:2006 is a ‘door set, which separates the internal climate from the external climate of a construction for which the main intended use is the passage of pedestrians’.
